Before We Build, We Pray

For 21 days, October 19 through Commitment Sunday on November 8, we're praying our way into Make Room. We're praying for the building, and even more for the people God is going to reach through it.

Each day takes about five minutes, with room to go further if you want.

• Read: a short passage, mostly from Nehemiah, so by November 8 you'll have walked through the whole story.

• Reflect: a few sentences connecting the passage to Make Room.

• Pray: three specific things to pray for.

• Go Deeper: a question or passage for journaling, a small group, or the drive to work.

• With Your Kids: a simple way to pray together as a family.

The three weeks.

1. Who Are We Reaching? (Oct 19–25, Nehemiah 1–2): seeing the broken walls. We ask God to break our hearts for the people in our community who don't know Him yet.

2. What's My Part? (Oct 26–Nov 1, Nehemiah 3–4): every family, every section. Everyone had a piece of the wall, and everyone has a part in this.

3. Why It Matters (Nov 2–8, Nehemiah 5–12): generosity, joy, and a city that notices. We pray toward Commitment Sunday with open hands.
